PurseForum Roundup – May 16

Categories:Other Brands

Another week has flown by, and it’s time to round up some reveals and conversations from the PurseForum. We love spring, and our members certainly love spring shopping, and why not? This week, we started out with some instant reveals in a few of our favorite subforums and spent some time in Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta, too. Thanks for spending this May afternoon with us!

Saint-Laurent-Nano-Sac-de-Jour-Bag

xMsxPhantasyx starts us off this week with a pretty pink Sac Du Jour from St. Laurent. This reveal has something for everyone, including a terrifically useful peek at what fits inside this beauty! Visit this reveal threadto see it all, including how this color, Rose Claire, looks in different light.

Butterfly-Rings

We found a quick and sweet reveal in Jewelry this week. (More specifically, in Van Cleef & Arpels.) Tulip2 beatVan Cleef & Arpels’ price increase and picked up this stunning Butterfly in pink gold, and we had to share. PurseForum members across the board never fail to share intel on the latest pricing trends and the teamwork pays off.

Proenza-Schouler-Tiny-PS11-Bag

We love teeny tiny stuff, and this is just the ticket. Another instant reveal, this time from Proenza Schouler: thePS11 Tiny from dragonette. These tiny bags may not be the most useful things in the world, but we love them, and this black-on-black version is exceptionally sleek and stylish. Also, the PS1 Mini is out, and our members are breaking it down in this lively thread. We are sure a reveal is not far behind!

Proenza-Schouler-PS1-Bag

If you love little bags but, like us, end up buying big ones, you will enjoy this reveal from Peter_89, whose Tobacco suede XL PS1 looks ready to handle (and carry) anything!

Proenza-Schouler-Sandals

And Sferics got a new tote and shoes! We love these shoes.

Gucci-Tote

Here’s another quick reveal, this time from Gucci. The bee-utiful Caleido Web Tote comes to us from lovethe1urwith, who loves this unusual bag (and she is not the only one)! The sweet pattern and suede interior make this a winner in our book. 1Kellygirl is contemplating a purchase, and the popular and adorable Disco is in the running. Tune in here to see how this conversation is going.

Gucci-Bird-Print

Our favorite thread in Gucci right now has to be the Tian Collection thread. This hummingbird comes to us from rafafaa’s Tian pochette, and isn’t it fabulous? You can find shoes, bags and small leathers goods galore in this thread. Dextersmom treated us to her new tote, too.

Bottega-Veneta-Maxi-Veneta-Bag

It’s wicked hot in Roundup land today, and new_to_lv’s gorgeous Bottega Veneta Veneta lounging by the pool is just the ticket. This beauty is from the What Bottega Veneta are You Carrying Today thread, and we sure wish we were carrying that one (and sitting by that pool)!

Bottega-Veneta-Shoulder-Bag

We found a man bag! We love when we get to see what the men of tPF have going on, and this smart bag is from tenKrat, who shared that her husband ditched his nylon sport bag for this splendid BV Messenger upgrade. Congratulations, Mr. TenKrat!

Louis-Vuitton-Mirror-Lockit-Clutch

TraceySH has been considering a couple of Louis Vuitton purchases and started a thread on Unique Seasonal and Rare LV, and we have quite a hit on our hands. Whether you are a die-hard LV fan or new to the brand, you will enjoy the variety here. Vinbenphon1’s Mini Lockit Fusion is one of the most unusual bags in the thread, but there are quite a few other eye-catching pieces to ponder.

Louis-Vuitton-GO-14-Bags

Oh, and in case you are wondering, it all turned out great for our thread-starter TraceySH. She selected the GO-14, and, of course, we all know two bags are better than one. Drop into Louis Vuitton to see what else is going on in our busiest subforum. Like this thread, which proves that what goes on in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas, especially if PurseForum members are shopping in Sin City.

Pansies

Thank you for dropping by the PurseBlog and the PurseForum Roundup. We are off to find a pool, thanks to our visit to Bottega Veneta! We hope you have a delightful weekend and have time for your own kind of springtime relaxation, whatever it may be. (Perhaps in the garden, like Ludmilla from the Garden Photographs thread?) We love spending this time finding bags and conversations to share with you, and look forward to seeing you again right her next week.

PurseForum Roundup – May 6

Categories:Other Brands

Welcome to May’s first Roundup! We are delighted to once again bring you a selection of conversations and fabulous bags from our PurseForum members. This week, we dropped into the Outfit of the Day thread, had some fun in Fendi, found a gorgeous bag in Dior and more. Thank you for joining us for–let’s get started!

Chanel-Outfit

What’s your Outfit of the Day? Ellapretty always has a great answer, like this joyful ensemble for spring from last month. You can find lots of inspiriation for your own Outfit of the Day in this thread in The Wardrobe. We think you will be pleasantly surprised by how chic and creative our members are, no matter the season! We also checked into the Post Your Most Recent Clothing Purchases thread, which reminded us that we need to go shopping.

Michael-Kors-Pink-Tote

It’s been quite a while since we visited Michael Kors, which is a situation we remedied this week in the Which MK Are You Carrying Today thread. Muddzdirt showed off her picture perfect pink Hamilton, a great bag to carry for spring.

Michael-Kors-Woven-Tote

Ness3786 shared her great new MK summer bag, a Straw Naomi in Peanut. This treasure popped up in the Show Us Your Michael Kors thread, a fast-moving collection of bags from the busy designer. MK fans know that the apart from bags, Michael puts out a pretty impressive selection of well-priced and popular watches. We keep time with all the MK watch trends right here in the MK Jewelry and Watch thread. If you need a push in the watch direction, this collection from TheFrench_Alix is just the ticket!

Dior-Wallet

Amortentia was ready to add a special wallet to her collection and selected this charming Diorissimo Envoléebicolor for her first Dior. This great piece exemplifies the wonderful small leather goods (SLGs) that so often are the first entry pieces into a luxury designer brand. Congratulations, Amortentia!

Dior-Lady-Dior-Bag

Incognit01639 says she cannot stop staring at her new Lady Dior, and we can’t either. Visit this thread for the “money shot” of this magnificent red beauty and you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away, too. The Lady Dior is a classic, and this lipstick red is pure perfection. The recent Lady Dior yes or no? thread is a great place to go if you are on the fence about this iconic, timeless bag.

Fendi-Wallet-and-Bag-Bug

Oh, and Bspcc87 got a new wallet and we had to share!

Kate-Spade-Hobo

In Kate Spade, MsKaren picked up a new bag and wallet this week. Kate Spade consistently puts out great-looking bags and terrific wallets in lovely colors and extremely functional designs. Our ongoing Kate Spade??? Thoughts…thread is a great resource on the brand’s durability and customer service over time. The upshot is, our members love Kate Spade overall, and the bags, of course, are as popular as ever.

Fendi-Peekaboo-Bag

Schmidty is on the road again! For those of you who have not been introduced, Schmidty’s human is Prada Prince, who accompanies this lucky Fendi bag bug around the world and posts pictures on the PurseForum for all of us to share. Schmidty’s thread serves also as an amusing way to get acquainted with some fantastic bags from different designers, like this absolutely glorious bamboo handle tote from Gucci.

Fendi-Monster-Baguette

Nami’s show-stopping Fendi Baguette took our collective breath away this week. The Baguette is one of Fendi’s most beloved bags, and the one that gets the most makeovers each season. Fendi serves up playful Baguettes on and off the runway, and we cannot help but love them.

We are so happy you joined us as we kick off May’s Roundups. We will be right here again next week with more from the PurseForum and hope that you will join us once again. In the meantime, have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.

PurseForum Roundup – April 22

Categories:Other Brands

Who is ready for another weekend? We certainly are, and we’re glad you elected to kick off the weekend with another edition of the PurseForum Roundup. This week, spring came to Mulberry, we caught up with some burning questions in the Question of the Week subforum and more.

Balenciaga-Metal-Plate-City-Bag

Have you discovered our Question of the Week subforum? This relatively new feature of the PurseForum holds the answers to all of our burning questions, like “What is the Last Handbag You Bought” (answered beautifully by Dextersmom with this Balenciaga Metal Plate City), “Which of Your Bags Gets You the Most Compliments,” and the bittersweet “What’s the Bag that Got Away?”

Mulberry-Shopping-Bag

In Mulberry this week, Bromley shared a pretty purchase with our Mulberry fans, who certainly appreciated the pop of color; visit here to see what was in the bag! Buttonneux also got a colorful new bag and treated us to a family photo in her reveal thread.

Mulberry-Lilly-Bag

Our Mulberry ladies are loving the spring Mulberry Bags and Flowers thread, a happy destination full of eye-popping bags and lovely gardens. This charming bag belongs to Loveheart, who also loves daffodils, which are the first spring bulbs to appear in many parts of the United States. This thread will brighten your day, that we promise!

Liberty-of-London-Lanyard

How is this for a pop of color? We found this little gem in the Non-Mulberry Purchases thread. These threads can be found in most all of our designer subforums, and we love seeing the variety of bags and accessories we find when our members confess to cheating on their favorite designers. This Liberty wallet belongs to MinLolipop, and it looks like we may be seeing a tote to follow, so keep your eyes on this thread to see what else makes an appearance.

Hermes-Birkin-Fendi-Karlito-Charm

In Hermès, the “cheating on the brand” theme shifts slightly as our members share their “non Hermès indulgences.” For amozo, this recently meant sharing her Karlito charm right along with her stunning Birkin and card case.

Hermes-Boxes

Bag lovers know what the Orange Box means, because it always holds something special inside. This week, we found a teeny weeny Hermès Evelyn, one of the brand’s oldest designs from way back when it specialized primarily in equestrian items. Visit jw10029’s reveal thread for all the details of her new bag and the rest of her Hermès bag family.

Hermes-Evelyne-Bag

We found another bag accessory from amozo’s collection that we wanted to share: this time, a strap from Fendi pairs perfectly and adds a bit of fun to this classic Evelyn. We dug this up in the Hermès Riding in the Passenger Seat thread, which never disappoints.

Saint-Laurent-Monogramme-Clutch

This fabulous Saint Laurent clutch popped up in YSL this week, and we must congratulate maianh_96 on a prefect choice for her first bag from Saint Laurent, though it will always be Yves Saint Laurent to us.

Bags-with-Outfits

Bagnshoes5 is looking for help deciding which of these three bags to add to her collection. We love a collaborative decision, and there is apparently still time for all of us to weigh in right here. What is your favorite? We are partial to the YSL in this case, though the Gucci is a nice take on the classic.

The WOC or wallet on a chain is an indispensable bag, and an entry-level option for lots of us trying out a new brand. This thread in YSL is a nice comparison between WOCs from Chanel and YSL. If this wardrobe staple is on your wish list, this is the place to get to know more!

Coach-Rogue-Bags

Sad16480 must not be sad now, because these two new Coach Rogues are just gorgeous! This bag is really making waves on the PurseForum, and many of our Coach members are going Rogue; check out the teal beauty from loco4coco and this classic saddle tan Rogue from Teagaggle. Of course, there are plenty more bags to see in Coach, like the bevy of bags in the Spring 2016 PCE thread – still going strong!

Coach-Dinky-Saddle-Bag

Also, a belated Happy Birthday to CoachCruiser, who has wonderful taste and picked up two terrific bags to celebrate her special day. That purple lining is just splendid!

Nike-Sneakers-Gianvito-Rossi-Pumps

That’s it for us. Doutzen’s picture from the Newest Shoe Purchases got us thinking: it’s time for new shoes! So, off we go.

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by. We will see you again next Friday, and remember, if by any chance you have plans this weekend to check out the season premiere of Game of Thrones, be assured that ourSeason 6 thread is already under way. See you next week!
